Super Snail – Power Gear Guide

Ultimate Guide to Power Gear

By Tomis.

The main meat of this guide, the point of farming is to get more powerful and here are the items that you will need to invest in to get that power. I will go over each piece of gear here and analyze its power and viability.

  • Offensive stats are prioritized over defensive stats because of the turn limit on combat.
  • Rush is in general much worse than attack because there are many cases where rush is much lower than the enemy’s defense and increasing rush will not change the rush damage.
  • Elemental damage cannot crit or contribute to lifesteal.
  • Form gear is rated based on the stats it provides, not the power of the form.

The most optimal form progression goes something like this:

  • Demon or Zombie form until T4 Dragon + Dragon Claw.
  • Dragon Form until late T7 Zombie form + Soul Walking.
  • Zombie Form until Caladbolg (~75m power).
  • Dragon Form forever.

Tier List

Gear will be sorted by relative power and ease of access. Tier list provided for quick reference.

Powerful and Common

Nun-Chuck / Norris-Chuck

The most powerful gear piece in the game. It only gets stronger the further you progress. It gives Ignore enemy DEF +12% which effectively adds damage equal to 12% of the enemy’s defense. If the enemy has 30,000 defense this will add 3,600 damage, if the enemy has 120,000 defense this will add 14,400 damage!

It can be obtained early by zapping the turtle with incense and completing his storyline and should be the first gear to red. It will also be the top priority for getting past +1.

Walnut wand / Oldman wand

An extremely powerful weapon that falls off eventually. It grants Fire, Water, Earth, Wind DMG +240 or 960 total ELE damage. Elemental damage is extremely powerful at early and mid game, scaling logarithmically off of Attack and Rush. At 50,000 atk/30k rush, this item will be adding ~6500 damage to the initial hit and ~6000 damage to the rush hit for ~12,500 total damage.  At 100k attack and 60k rush, this will add ~13,500 damage when rush is triggered. Insane for a single piece of gear.

It can be obtained from defeating the Old Wizard visitor who has the following stats:

ATK:18,926DEF:12,233HP:288,862RUSH: AFFCT 39,608

This is also top priority to upgrade to red but is obtained a bit later than chucks.

Spring Longsword / Big Bounce

is a weapon that starts off fairly weak but gets incredibly strong over time. It grants Crit Rate +12%, Crit DMG +12%. It is very important to note that CRIT DOES NOT AFFECT ELEMENTAL DAMAGE. At 50,000 attack against an enemy with 30,000 defense with no other sources of Crit this will add ~1750 damage. At 100k attack against an enemy with 60k defense with 50% crit and 50% crit damage base, this will contribute ~9200 damage.

It can be obtained from lottery purple beads and takes around 900 pulls on average to get. This rate is influenced by bead conversions. It can also be obtained from the Gear Forge but this is not recommended because it is relatively common. High priority to get to red.

Workout Top / Traveler Outfit

An armor piece that is very powerful but gets weakened severely in many places. It grants Dodge Rate +12% which is equivalent to a 12% damage reduction, very powerful! Many enemies in the game gain a ‘HIT’ stat which allows for them to mitigate Dodge to some extent. It appears as though HIT +n  will give an n% chance for the dodge to be ignored but Testing is required.

It can be obtained from lottery blue beads and will take around 400 pulls on average. Do not gear forge this item even if you are very unlucky. It is great to have early but begins to fall off around Britland. If an enemy is missing the HIT stat, this is essential.

Ring of Stupor / Ring of Paralysis

An armor piece very similar to traveler outfit except its effect has a lower value. It grants Chance to Paralysis enemy +7.2% which is slightly worse than a 7.2% damage reduction (because you get 1 less attempt to mitigate damage per combat). Many enemies gain a ‘Paralysis RES’ stat that allows for them to mitigate paralysis. This works by reducing the chance by the stated percentage, Paralysis RES +50% will reduce the 7.2% chance to a 3.6% chance.

It can be obtained by defeating Hitman 15 who has the following stats.

ATK:17,749DEF: 15,099HP:243,995RUSH:Tadpole Points 20,000

It is great to have early but begins to fall off around Britland. If an enemy is missing the PARA RES stat, this is essential.

Death Shroud / Dracula Cape

An armor piece that is weak early on but becomes impactful later. It grants Lifesteal Rate +12%, Lifesteal Effect +60% which allows you to convert some of your offense to defense! Lifesteal also does not work with elemental damage. More research is needed on the specifics but Lifesteal Rate is your chance to trigger lifesteal, and Lifesteal Effect increases how much life you gain.

It can be obtained by defeating Dracula who has the following stats:

ATK:17,814DEF:10,963HP:122,686FTH 5,195

This doesn’t provide much until very late in the game. Low priority to get to red.

Sailor Suit / Grandpire’s Robe

A powerful piece of armor that is very strong early but falls off later in the game. It grants Per 10% HP lost, Snail ATK +360 Per 10% HP lost, Snail DEF +360. This effect is strong and could deal around 1,620 damage per round averaged over a close fight and reduce damage taken by the same amount.

It can be obtained by defeating Grandpire who has the following stats:

ATK:42,328DEF:29,025HP:570,232RUSH:FTH 13,292

He also lifesteals a crazy amount of life per turn so may require higher stats than expected. This is a medium priority to get to red.

Trident / Poseidon’s Trident

A powerful weapon that is weak early but becomes solid later in the game. It grants Crit DMG +12%, Lifesteal Effect +60% which are weak early on but gain power the more raw damage is dealt. See Dracula Cape or Big Bounce for explanations on Crit and Lifesteal.

It can be obtained by defeating the final form of Ratman who has the following stats:

ATK:47,783DEF:45,190HP:756,643RUSH:AFFCT 68,330

This is a medium priority to get to red.

Powerful and Uncommon

Electric Hammer / Million Volts

A powerful piece of elemental damage gear. It grants Wind DMG +360, Ignore Enemy Wind RES +180 which adds a solid amount of damage. At 50k atk/30k rush, this item will be adding ~2,400 damage to the initial hit and ~2,300 damage to the rush hit for ~4,700 total damage.  At 100k atk/60k rush, this will add ~5,000 damage when rush is triggered.

This can be obtained from the lottery in around 1500 pulls. Medium priority to get to red. Don’t gear forge this

Strong Round Shield / Fortress

The most powerful defensive gear currently in the game. It grants DMG Reduction +9.6% which simply reduces the damage taken by 9.6%. This does not get mitigated by any mechanics later in the game so the power level stays consistently high and it gets more powerful as more sources of DMG Reduction stack up.

Obtained by opening Divine Neutral Chests at a rate of 0.8% or 125 chests on average. High priority to get to red. This is a good candidate to get with the Gear Forge due to its power even though it isn’t that rare.

Leviathan Gloves / Hydra’s Gloves

A powerful piece of gear with identical stats to the above hammer except they have Water damage instead of wind. This makes no difference. Combines with trident.

They can be obtained from Divine Chaos Chests at a rate of 0.4% or 250 chests on average. This is a good item to get from the Gear Forge due to its rarity and power.

Hammer of Frenzy / Power Spinach

A decent weapon that falls off quickly. It grants Each round, Snail RUSH +48, Snail ATK +48. Over the course of a fight this could grant an average of 960 damage per round if rush is triggered and the fight lasts 20 rounds.

It can be obtained from Divine Neutral Chests at a rate of 0.4% or 250 chests on average. Low priority to get to red. Not recommended to Gear Forge but still worth it if there are no other options.

Powerful and P2W or Rare

Fossil / Cretaceous Weapon

Another piece of gear with identical stats to the above two with earth damage instead. Worth noting that this combines with Norris-Chuck and will be required to push to +1 and above.

They can be obtained from Divine Chaos Chests at a rate of 0.2% or 500 chests on average. It is a great item to get from the Gear Forge due to its rarity and power.

Drazgul Fang / Golden Drazgul Fang

A powerful weapon that gives a lot of power both early and late game. It grants Poison DMG +360, Crit Rate +12%. The elemental damage is the same as the other single element weapons above and the crit rate is a powerful bonus that keeps this weapon relevant in the late game.

It can be obtained by spending $100 on a gear ‘value’ pack that is sometimes triggered when you open the gear crafting interface. It will provide a substantial bonus early game and be a solid slot late game, is it worth it? High priority to get to red if you cave.

Maze Key / Incredible Key

is a strong elemental weapon that becomes a pvp niche weapon later in the game. It grants All Element DMG +72, All RES +36 which is the same elemental damage as the other elemental weapons. All RES is only effective in the arena so far so this functions very similar to the other elemental weapons.

It can be obtained by spending $1,000 total and comes with the Gumball Statue supreme relic. I guess you will get this eventually if you spend? Or not. Medium priority to get to red if you like pvp or need a slot filled.

Peacock Quill / Septreasure Peacock Quill

A relatively weak weapon that is somewhat useful for dominating apostles in exploration. It grants For Round 1, CRIT DMG +12%, When exploring, DMG +18% in Round 1 which are powerful stats but do not contribute much over the course of a normal fight.

It can be obtained by spending $300 total and comes with the Peacock Throne supreme relic. Not really worth upgrading unless you want to upgrade Drazgul past +1 or are having a hard time with dominations.

Pulse Rifle / District 9

The missing fire elemental weapon. It has the same numbers and priorities as the others. Worth noting that this combines with Big Bounce and will be required to upgrade it to +1 and above.

This one can be obtained by shooting the sky 40 times with the shrine requiring 120 incense total.

Less Powerful or Niche

Strength Master Sword +1 Components

These weapons all provide a powerful % increased damage buff in different areas in the game and can be combined to provide the increased damage everywhere.

  • Strength Master Sword buffs exploration. It is obtained from Hitman #1.
  • True Sakabato Blade buffs against hitmen. It is obtained from Hitman #5.
  • Dark Strength buffs in Domain fights. It is obtained from shooting the sky 100 times.
  • Blair’s Curse buffs in the Arena. It is obtained from dragon orbs.
  • Virtual Vision buffs in the Gene Simulation. It is obtained by paying $15 in the gene sim value pack.

These weapons are all very powerful for pushing specific pieces of content and extremely powerful when combined together. It will take 300 incense and $15 to get them all.

Excalibur / Excalibur EX

is a mediocre weapon that provides 240 attack. It combines with Old Man Wand for some easy stats but is actually very low value.

It can be obtained by defeating Excalibra may he dance forever in our hearts:

ATK:80,000DEF:70,000HP:1,200,000RUSH:AFFCT 118,020

Chief / Super Warrior

A niche armor piece. It grants CRIT DMG REDUC +12% which is extremely powerful in PvP and against Domain bosses, but completely useless elsewhere. Testing is required to see if this stacks additively or multiplicatively with normal damage reduction.

Obtained from Divine Order Chests 500 chests on average. Low priority to get to red but can be used to edge past a domain boss or for PvP focus.

Know-It-All Glasses +1 Components

These pieces of gear all provide bonuses when rush is activated.

  • Know-It-All Glasses add damage. Obtained from the vending machine.
  • Ancestral Legacy adds defense. Obtained from green lottery beads 360 pulls on average.
  • Gilded Belt adds HP. Obtained from Divine Chaos Chests 62.5 on average.
  • Empress’ Gloves add attack. Obtained from Divine Order Chests 62.5 on average.
  • Empress’ Slippers add rush. Obtained from Divine Neutral Chests 62.5 on average.

These weapons are fairly mediocre but can be combined together to form a decent early game item that is far too expensive to justify. Glasses > Gloves > Slippers = Mask > Belt. Would not combine unless you have way too many EoH and not enough Amulet of Will for upgrading.

Alloy Shield / Antimatter Shield

A relatively weak armor piece. It grants DEF +96 per round  which can average 960 damage reduction per round in a 20 round fight. Outshined by most other armor pieces but can be used to replace Traveler Outfit or Paralysis Ring on fights with high resistances.

It is obtained from Divine Neutral Chests 500 chests on average. Low priority to get to red.

The Great Entertainer +1 Components

These pieces of gear boost AFFCT.

  • Ogma’s Cloak boosts CIV. Obtained from Divine Order Chests 125 pulls on average.
  • Selene Amulet boosts ART. Obtained from Divine Neutral Chests 500 pulls on average.
  • Antimatter Armor boosts TECH. Obtained from Divine Chaos Chests 500 pulls on average.
  • Michael’s Earring boosts FTH. Obtained from Divine Order Chests 250 pulls on average.
  • Caesar’s Crown boosts FAME. Obtained from Divine Chaos Chests 250 pulls on average.
  • The Great Entertainer boosts all AFFCT. Obtained from Divine Order Chests 62.5 pulls on average.

Mediocre gear that can be used if you are close to meeting an AFFCT check.

ELE Res Gear

These pieces of gear boost Ele RES.

  • Bedrock boosts Earth RES. Obtained from green lottery beads 360 pulls on average.
  • Poseidon’s Blessing boosts Water RES. Obtained from green lottery beads 360 pulls average.
  • Heart of Nature boosts Fire RES. Obtained from Divine Order Chests 250 pulls average.
  • Thunder Belt boosts Wind RES. Obtained from Divine Neutral Chests 62.5 pulls average.
  • The Great Magician boosts All RES.Obtained from Divine Neutral Chests 250 pulls average.
  • Agamemnon Outfit boosts All RES %. Obtained from Agamemnon Mask Mirage.

Ele RES is very niche. It is not currently present anywhere in the game other than the PvP arena where it is relatively powerful. None of these pieces are worth upgrading unless you want to focus on pvp and are able to combine the piece to +1.

Time Amulet / Eye of Akamoddo Amulet

A weak armor piece. It grants Restore 960 HP each round which is worse than most other pieces of defensive gear.

It is obtained from the Eye of Akamoddo Mirage. May be combined with the Agamemnon outfit and upgraded further if focused on PvP.

B-Tadpole Sword / W-Tadpole Sword

A fairly weak PvP only weapon. It grants HIT +12, Ignore All RES +36. These stats only function in PvP because normal enemies do not have dodge chance or ELE RES.

Obtained from getting level 50 tadpole and purchasing with 50k W-Tads. Only worth for PvP focus.

Form Specific

The Buried / Soul Walking

An extremely powerful weapon associated with the Zombie Form. It grants In Zombie Form, Ignore DEF +12%. Provides the same power as Norris-Chuck and works incredibly well together with it. This power from this item will allow Zombie to overtake Dragon as the most powerful form somewhere around Zombie T7. At this point elemental damage starts to fall off because of how much base damage is being dealt.

Obtained from Divine Chaos Chests 125 chests on average. This item is worth gear forging if you get to T7 Zombie and still somehow don’t have it. Low priority until the swap.

Crimson Dragon Claw / Claw of Destruction

A very powerful weapon associated with Dragon Form. It grants In Dragon: Fire DMG +720. At 50k atk/30k rush, this item will be adding ~4,800 damage to the initial hit and ~4,600 damage to the rush hit for ~9,400 total damage.  At 100k atk/60k rush, this will add ~10,100 damage when rush is triggered.

Obtained by offering 15 total dragon orbs to the altar. Another top priority item to upgrade to red.

Azazel’s Curse / Azazel’s Pact

A powerful weapon associated with Demon Form. It grants In Demon: Crit Rate +12%. Crit is a powerful stat that gains more power the higher attack gets. There may be some viability to demon form in the late game especially against enemies with lower defense.

Obtained from the lottery in around 1500 pulls. If you get this before unlocking dragon form it will make early game a breeze. Not worth gear forging, you will get from lottery eventually.

Leather Chest Armor / Centaur Armor

A powerful weapon associated with Mutant Form. It grants In Mutant Form, Crit DMG +24%. Similar to the demon weapon above, this also grants a lot of power in late game. With mutant’s high attack and rush this could make mutant the most powerful form against low defense enemies dependent on crit rng.

Obtained from Divine Chaos Chests 62.5 chests on average. Not worth gear forging because it is common.

Mark II / Mark IV

A powerful armor associated with Mecha Form. It grants In Mecha: DMG Reduction +12%. DMG reduction is the most powerful defensive stat and it stacks with Fortress for extremely high damage reduction. May have some cool uses in Arena but will likely not be used because of the emphasis on offensive stats.

Obtained from lottery blue beads and will take around 400 pulls on average. Not worth gear forging.

Power Strategy

Power builds will often have a lot of problems with fitting gear so +1s are necessary to make space for more pieces. To figure out what piece to upgrade next, you should calculate which gear gives the most power.

In general: ELE damage and chucks will give the biggest benefits until Zombie T7. After Zombie T7 Chucks, Big Bounce, and Serket Staff should be prioritized. Str master sword is a huge power spike at +1 but less important than the others to get to +2 and above. Fortress +1 provides nothing but +2 and above is great if survivability is lacking.
