The First Descendant – Gley Massacre Build (High DPS / Medium Tankiness)

Gley Massacre Build + Infinite Ammo

By Lady Emily.

This build provides infinite ammo and high damage through Massacre. You will not be super tanky with this build, but it is still quite viable for bossing, though you should attempt to avoid keeping aggro on certain bosses. There is some build flexibility as well; you will be able to read more about that below.

Modules

High Priority Modules

  • Massive Sanguification
    • Does not need to be maxed for the build to function, it does however increase available module power.
  • Skill Extension
  • Nimble Fingers
  • MP Conversion
  • An Outstanding Investment
  • Focus on Dimension
    • Does not need to be maxed for the build to function, it does however increase damage output.
  • Focus on Non-Attribute
    • Does not need to be maxed for the build to function, it does however increase damage output.

Other Modules

  • Stim Accelerant
    • Provides the majority of your resilience, should not be removed.
  • Walk a Tightrope
    • There is speculation that the mod does not fully work, however it should still increased damage. It can be switched out for [Module] Increased HP, [Module] Increased DEF.
  • HP Collector
    • Provides sustain, which is not always necessary or useful. It can be switched out for [Module] Increased HP, [Module] Increased DEF, [Module] An Iron Will (not tested).
  • Iron Defense
    • Provides you with increased defense, but not an optimal amount. Can be switched out for [Module] Spear and Shield, which provides slightly more defense at a small DPS cost. It can also be replaced by [Module] Increased DEF at a more significant DPS cost.

Weapons

This build is primarily made for use with Python or Thunder Cage, but may work with certain other weapons. A maxed out Python provides slightly higher DPS when compared to Thunder Cage, but both provide the build with more than enough DPS to function well.

Python – Maxed Unique Ability

  • Rifling Reinforcement
  • Action and Reaction
  • Fire Rate Up
  • Weak Point Sight
  • Toxic Enhancement
  • Poison Priority
  • Mental Focus
  • Have Aiming
  • Better Concentration
  • Concentration Priority

Despite Python’s lacking critical stats, these two modules will provide ~11.8% increased DPS. The modules can be switched out for [Module] Weak Point Aiming, and /or [Module] Fixed Shot. These two modules will comparatively decrease DPS, but will make the weapon more pleasant to use.

Thunder Cage – Unique Ability Irrelevant to DPS

I cannot provide an optimal Gley Thunder Cage build, so just use the one you have available. Ideally it should not have increased ammo capacity, and should use modules sacrificing reload speed for more DPS.

Sidenote when messing with Thunder Cage mods: Do not trust the dps number, calculate it yourself.

Reactor & External Components

The Annihilation Set can be switched out for Slayer Set, dropped by [Hard] Pyromaniac, however you are squishier, but deal more DPS.
