Rust – Most Efficient Raid Guide

A list of explosive counts for various building blocks in the game Rust.

Guide to Most Efficient Raid

This guide is meant only for offline raids. When base owners are actively defending, it’s difficult to follow a precise raiding plan. For online raids, it’s better to use rockets to blast directly through the base walls.

I won’t include C4 quantities in this guide because I prefer using rockets and explosive ammunition. The reason is that C4 doesn’t cause splash damage to doors and walls. However, if you’re breaking through just one wall, C4 is actually more efficient as it costs less sulfur than using rockets.

Stone Wall

Without the use of explosive ammo, a stone wall will take 4 rockets to break. With explosive ammo, it will take 3 rockets and 20 explosive ammo, totaling to about 4825 sulfur for a stone wall.

Metal Embrasure

Without the use of explosive ammo. A metal embrasure will take 4 rockets to break. With the use of Explosive ammo, it will cost 3 rockets and 29 explosive ammo, totaling to about 4925 sulfur.

Armored Door

Without the use of Explosive ammo, an armored door will take 4 rockets to break. With the use of explosive ammo, an armored door will take about 3 rockets and 37 explosive ammo to break, totaling to about 5125 sulfur.

Stone High Wall & High Wall Gate

Without the use of explosive ammo, a high external stone wall/gate will take 4 rockets to break. You might want to only use rockets for this one as getting the splash to take down multiple walls with explosive ammo with an external wall can be hard, but if you are only taking down one wall it will cost 3 rockets and 30 explosive ammo totaling to about 4950 sulfur.

Metal Wall

Without the use of explosive ammo, it will take you 8 rockets to break a metal wall. With the use of explosive ammo, it will cost you 7 rockets and 10 explosive ammo totaling to a cost of about 10000 sulfur.

Armored Wall

Without the use of explosive ammo, an armored wall will cost 15 rockets to break. With the use of explosive ammo, it will cost 14 rockets and 17 explosive ammo, totaling to about 20025 sulfur.

Sheet Metal Door

Without the use of explosive ammo it will cost you 2 rockets to break a sheet metal door, however, the second rocket is very pointless as the door is left will a sliver of its health left and can be quickly destroyed with rocks. With the use of explosive ammo, it will cost 1 rocket and 9 explosive ammo, totaling to about 1625 sulfur. Ladder Hatches and floor grills have the same raid cost as sheet metal doors.

Garage Door

For garage doors, most people will just use 3 rockets, however they can be destroyed cheaper with explosive ammo, for 2 rockets and 40 explosive ammo, totaling at around 3800 sulfur.

Metal Shop Front

For metal shop fronts, most people will use 6 rockets, if you want to use explosive ammo, it will cost 5 rockets and 25 explosive ammo, totaling at around 7600 sulfur.

  1. If you dont want to splash, C4 will be the best to use in most cases.
C4 for armored wall will be onyl 17,6k sulfur…
I guess a good raid guide would explain where to splash and where dont to,
where go through doors or where go through walls, thats what makes the difference not the 1k sulfur between 4 rockets and 3rockets + explo 😀
