Dimraeth – Shadow Elf Caster Burst One Shot Build Guide

Shadow Elf Caster Burst One Shot Build

Timeless Void is a very strong spell that can potentially one shot enemies, including bosses, as long as enough damage is put into it and there is at least minimal Magic scaling.

This is an all-in caster build with a specific spell order required to achieve the listed damage. The build can also work with the Mage class, but its passives are different, so you may need to find your own balance.

For Brawlers, a hybrid Magic/Physical setup such as Pathweaver can be used instead.

Build Overview

Pros

  • Insane damage output
  • Can one shot all bosses at maximum difficulty
  • Fast-paced and mobile, except during the large cast

Cons

  • If you miss the setup, your damage is very low for the next 30+ seconds compared to the average
  • Glass cannon
  • Requires timing and setup

Skill Variations

There are two variations. They are very similar, but Variation 1 has a slightly easier rotation.

Variation 1

Backstep Slash provides an additional 15% Magic Damage for 5 seconds through the relevant skill tree node.

The skill description says that it enhances only one spell, but according to the build, the bonus remains after casting the spell and continues to work until the duration ends.

Use the Backstep Slash node that provides the Magic Damage bonus instead of the alternative node.

Variation 2

Variation 2 has a higher damage ceiling but requires stricter timing and rotation. It also requires enough Haste and the 7/7 Spiritbound set.

Keep the skill tree as it is without allocating the alternative node.

This version uses Chrono Spike, which benefits from the bleeding applied by Timeless Void. It also activates the Spiritbound set effect, which shoots a spike after every Ether skill cast, providing additional damage.

Gear and Stats

The build currently uses three different gear sets. There may be better combinations, including setups that allow Alpha Howl to be used in the desired direction to increase the damage dealt inside the bubble.

Prioritize the following stats:

  1. Ether Damage
  2. Magic Damage
  3. Magic Penetration
  4. Ether Penetration
  5. Critical Chance
  6. Critical Multiplier

For utility:

  • Concentration Regeneration
  • Haste

For defense, Guard Efficiency is recommended as the best in slot defensive option for this build. It provides more room for mistakes, helping you avoid being one shot before reaching the boss or when you panic and miss your dodges or the timing of a perfect parry.

Core Skill: Timeless Void

Timeless Void is the core skill of the build.

It is an AoE that deals relatively low damage initially, then replicates a certain percentage of the damage dealt before exploding. The exact percentage is not specified in the source.

Its damage scales with Magic Damage and Ether Damage, allowing it to deal extremely high damage when enough of these stats are stacked.

Variation 1 Rotation

The order of the spells is important.

  1. Echo Rift
Use Echo Rift to apply Temporal Echo statues. The build takes several nodes in the skill trees that scale with Temporal Echo, significantly increasing the damage.
  2. Backstep Slash
Use Backstep Slash to activate the additional 15% Magic Damage from the selected node.
  3. Timeless Void
Cast Timeless Void after applying the previous effects.
  4. Aetherfang Phalanx and Alpha Howl
Use both abilities while positioning yourself to land as many hits as possible.

With enough Haste, you can fit a second Echo Rift into the time that the Timeless Void bubble remains active.

Variation 2 Rotation

Variation 2 follows a different sequence:

  1. Echo Rift
    Apply Temporal Echo.
  2. Timeless Void
    Create the bubble.
  3. Chrono Spike
Chrono Spike has a short cooldown, allowing it to be used twice during the rotation. It also triggers an additional projectile from the 7/7 Spiritbound set, adding significant damage.
  4. Aetherfang Phalanx and Alpha Howl
Use both abilities while attempting to land as many hits as possible.
  5. Chrono Spike and Echo Rift
Use Chrono Spike again, followed by Echo Rift.

Stat Distribution

The listed stat distribution is intended to maximize Magical Power.

According to the source, putting everything into Intelligence without investing any Charisma can leave you stuck at around 50 Magical Power. A small amount of Memory is also needed for optimal use of the abilities.
