After waiting for nearly a year, Kaedehara Kazuha is finally rerun. Many travelers who started playing after the Sumeru version might wonder why old travelers said Kazuha is the “king.” To solve their confusion, I’ll explain why Kazuha is a unique Anemo character.

What Kind of Player Does Kazuha Suit?

As an Anemo character, he can team up with any character that can trigger Swirl reaction. With the DEF-reducing effect from Viridescent Venerer, the DPS of the team can be significantly improved. Also, Kazuha can gather enemies on the ground and increases the efficiency of fighting against grouped enemies.

What kind of players might consider not to pull for Kazuha first? Those who don’t rely on Pyro, Hydro, Cyro, and Electro to deal damage.

The currently trending element, Dendro, does not react to generate Swirl reaction with Anemo so Dendro and Anemo teams are actually competing against each other, instead of supporting. Hence, Dendro teams that count on Nahida and Nilou can skip Kazuha.

Why is Kazuha Strong?

It is his two crucial skills that make him strong.

Passive Talent – Poetics of Fuubutsu

When Kazuha triggers Swirl reaction, he will provide DMG boost to the team based on his own Elemental Mastery.

To put it simply, Hydro Swirl increases Hydro DMG of all team members, as in Cyro. If there are multiple elemental swirl, all elemental DMG will be increased.

When facing a group of enemies, multi-elemental Swirl is easy to trigger so his passive talent is way more powerful in actual battles.

Passive Talent – Kazuha Slash

If Autumn Whirlwind comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cyro/Electro, it will deal additional 200% elemental DMG of that type. The element contacted by his Plunging Attack after casting his Elemental Skill will become the type of the Plunging Attack.

With the help of this spread mechanism, Kazuha can trigger dual-Swirl effect on one enemy, which is very hard for other Anemo characters to do.

The team that benefits most from the dual-Swirl effect is the Vaporize team, led by Tartaglia, C6 Bennett, and Xiangling.

At the beginning of the battle, Tartaglia casts the Elemental Skill to apply Hydro and then Bennett casts his ultimate. When strong Pyro and strong Hydro trigger Vaporize reaction, the enemy will still have Hydro attached due to the counter relationship. Switch to Kazuha and hold his Elemental Skill, fly to the sky, and trigger Hydro Swirl. However, due to the talent of C6 Bennett, Kazuha’s weapon has been enchanted with Pyro, so his Plunging Attack triggers Pyro Swirl. This way, dual-Swirl effect has been produced.

DMG Boost Provided by Kazuha (ideally, no dilution)

If Kazuha can have all main stats of Elemental Mastery and is equipped with weapons like Iron Sting, his Elemental Mastery can easily reach around 900, increasing Elemental DMG by 36%. (The element of DMG Boost must be able to trigger Swirl)

Most DPS characters are equipped with the Elemental DMG Chalice, 15% DMG Boost at 2pc, meaning a total of 97.6% Elemental DMG (61.6% Elemental DMG + 36% DMG Boost from Kazuha). If there is no DMG dilution, the DMG of the main DPS can be increased by 22%.

The Resistance reduction effect produced by the Sacred Winds set can increase our DMG by 28% even if there are no other resistance reduction effects. Plus, the 22% DMG Boost we mentioned above. So the conclusion is, even at C0, Kazuha can at least increase the DMG of our main DPS character by 50%.

Character Development Difficulty

We’ve talked about Kazuha’s effect in DMG Boost and his versatility, now we’ll come to another point why we all like him — the difficulty of developing him is very low.

He can use various kinds of weapons, Artifacts, and sub stats. I believe that many of you must’ve grinded for certain characters in the Artifact domains. But hey, Kazuha doesn’t rely on sub stats at all. As long as the Artifacts are 4pc Viridescent Venerer and the 3 main stats are Elemental Mastery, he’s at his best state.

As for weapons, either Freedom-Sworn or Xiphos’ Moonlight is ok. If you don’t have them, then just go with Favonius Sword, Sacrificial Sword and Timber Blade. If your ultimate rotation is good, then use any weapon in your inventory that can increase Elemental Mastery.

In conclusion, Kazuha is a highly versatile DEF-reducing, DMG-boosting, and enemy-gathering support character. He can significantly increase the DPS of most teams that can produce Swirl reaction. Plus, he’s quite easy to develop, so some players call him “King” Kazuha. If you haven’t got him, you might want to get one during the current rerun.

Above is the reason why Kaedehara Kazuha is highly respected and loved. If you like this article, please give me a like! Wish you can get three 5-Star in ten pulls.
