Honkai: Star Rail – F2P Team Simulated Universe

This is a guide that aims to achieve world clears using only the free characters available. It can also be used as a guideline to swap in stronger characters into a team if they fill the same niche.

Each of these characters can be substituted for banner characters in Simulated Universe runs assuming their role (tank / healer / breaker) and matching boss weakness.

F2P Teams by World

You can replace characters with a Banner Character if they fill the role (tank/healer/breaker).

Do not, for example, replace Dan Heng with Seele in World 5. Seele does reduced damage for not matching weakness.

World 2

Banner Characters

A selection of March 7th to tank, Serval and Asta to break, then Dan Heng for single target damage. You can slot in Physical Trailblazer, but this world shouldn’t be too difficult regardless.

World 3

• March 7th

“Why isn’t Fire Trailblazer tanking?” Good question, it’s because we have no other breakers. March 7th will tank, Natasha will heal, then Physical Trailblazer and Serval will go to town on the boss weakness of physical and lightning. If you have someone with physical, lightning, or imaginary, have Fire Trailblazer tank instead, and take March 7th out.

World 4

• Fire Trailblazer

• Asta

Banner Characters

Fire Trailblazer tanks, and does breaks on boss. Natasha heals. Asta and Serval will break. Replace Serval with Dan Heng if you need more single target damage.

World 5

• March 7th

Banner Characters

Same situation as World 3. Physical Trailblazer and Dan Heng will do breaks. If you have someone who can do physical, wind, or imaginary damage, make Fire Trailblazer tank, take March 7th out.

World 6

Banner Characters

Fire Trailblazer tanks, and does breaks on boss. Lynx heals and cleanses. Asta and Serval breaks.

This world can be tricky because of enemy Bronya in phase 2, who only shares a Fire weakness out of Physical, Fire, Imaginary.

World 7

• Qingque

Banner Characters

There’s actually a lot of ways you can choose to do this team, so feel free to replace anyone as you like for type weaknesses. Of special note, March does exceptionally well against boss summons using freeze ult, and Qingque covers weaknesses in the world’s elites.

World 8

• Fire Trailblazer
• Natasha
• Serval
• Dan Heng

Banner Characters

If possible, substitute Fire Trailblazer or Natasha for an equivalent tank/healer that can cover weakness, then use the other slots for full coverage. Covering all weaknesses will let you greatly reduce damage at the final boss.

Yukong is a possible option to run here, but consider only if you have built her.
