Honkai: Star Rail – Simulated Universe Worlds Guide

Simulated Universe Worlds

This guide is a standard strategy guide and is curated around easy core strategies! Please keep in mind these recommended teams are a baseline everyone can work with.

Of course you can replace anyone here with a stronger character and you should if you can as long as you uphold the basic team building rules!

If you have troubles clearing content it is most likely due to you playing an inefficient Aeon Path or because your characters are underleveled.

Please make sure to check your Character Ascensions, Light Cones, Traces and Relics if you can still improve somewhere!

Basic Tips for the Boss Fight

World 2

The boss fight in itself is mechanically very easy. It is the first boss you face in the game with a new core mechanic. Kill off the summons as quickly as you can manage and try to kill one of the two bosses first.

After downing the first boss all that is left is to down the second one which then triggers the core mechanic of a second phase of a boss fight; both of them revive once. During their second life they are stronger but once killed on this phase they do not revive a second time and you can safely proceed to your clear.

Recommended Level: 20

Example Team

  • March 7th
  • Natasha
  • Herta / Asta
  • Serval

Remembrance or Preservation

World 3

The final fight for this world requires you to either out-tank Gepard’s shield or have enough dps to break it fast enough before his summons or his AOE attack can wreck your team. His shield is indeed a dps-check.

During his first and second phase it is important to focus on his summons as they still have managable amounts of hp. On his third phase bursting Gepard may be more efficient depending on the survivability and damage output of your team due to the summons having too much health now.

Preservation Strategy:

Get all preservation blessings. reroll blessings if you have to.

  • Must use shield characters such as Fire Trailblazer + March 7th and/or Gepard
  • When using Fire Trailblazer + March, have Fire Trailblazer shield every turn to recharge resonance, and have March shield allies with low hp/shields.
  • Acquire Preservation Blessings and pick Resonance Formation: Isomorphous Reaction, then Resonance Formation: Zero-Dimentional Reinforcement.
  • Isomorphous Reaction regens Resonance by 40% at battle start, and 3% whenever shields are applied, greatly increasing uptime.
  • Zero-Dimensional Reinforcement makes Resonance a CRIT Hit and increases its damage when allies are shielded.
  • Acquire 3* Macrosegregation
  • This blessing when enhanced, grants a 1% max hp shield that increases with each shield gained. This shield gets removed and regained every 2 turns. Massively increase survival and resonance DMG
  • Acquire Quake blessings 3* Resonance Transfer and / or 3* Metastatic Shield
  • This blessing increases your dps by adding Quake damage when allies are shielded. If you are confident in your dps, you do not need this blessing.

Tips against the boss with Preservation:

  • With Isomorphous Reaction acquired, you can use it to wipe out Gepard’s summons in phase 1. Whittle him down and recharge it, then use it again to wipe out summons in phase 2.
  • If you obtain another charge in phase 2, do not use it. Save it for the phase 3 dps-check for when Gepard activates his shield. This will allow you to greatly ease the damage needed to break his shield.

Recommended Level: 40 (Possible at 30, but Equilibrium 2 and lv 40 characters are so close).

Example Team

  • March 7th / Fire Trailblazer
  • Natasha / Lynx
  • Physical Trailblazer/ Sushang
  • Serval

Preservation or Destruction

World 4

Using either Hunt or Preservation Resonance Formation should take care of the robots summoned during phase 1 and 2 during the boss fight. Prioritize on killing them first as they make the fight more difficult the longer they are alive.

For Seele havers: Seele trivializes the fight by a lot. The hand which Svarog spawns in the third stage can be easily broken by Seele to free the hostage. You just need an aggro tank who draws the short straw each time.

For non-Seele Havers:

Dan Heng, Sampo and/or Serval can do a really great job of what Seele already does to the hand. It is the same as if you would use Seele, with the only difference that it might take 2 attacks to break the hand instead of 1.

In its essence this fight is more about having the resources to break and kill Savrog’s summons instead of having the defenses to survive all of his attacks.

The Nihility Path is unlocked after your first fight of World 4.

Nihility Strategy:

Get all nihility blessings. reroll blessings if you have to.

  • Must use DoT characters such as Serval/Sampo/Hook.
  • This strategy works by stacking Suspicion DoT damage to such a high level that even if hands imprison party members, the DoT DMG will kill Svarog.
  • Acquire Nihility Blessings and pick Resonance Formation: Outsider, then Resonance Formation: Suffering and Sunshine.
  • Acquire 3* The Man in The Cover and/or 3* Funeral of Sensory Pursuivant.
  • If possible, obtain 2* blessings related to Suspicion which will unlock after getting the 3* blessing. This will allow you to stack Suspicion, massively increasing DoT damage.

Tips against the boss with Nihility:

  • If you have both resonance formations and 3* Suspicion blessings, the boss can be auto’d.
  • There is a slight risk of DoT character being imprisoned by hand, to avert this risk, manually save resonance formation before phase 3, or save ultimates to break the hand.

Recommended Level: 50

Example Team

  • Fire Trailblazer
  • Natasha / Lynx
  • Serval / Hook / Sampo
  • Dan Heng / Asta

Hunt, Preservation or Nihility

World 5

The Abundance Path is unlocked after your first fight of World 5.

The Go-To strategy for W5 is any standard team with Abundance stacking. Kafka’s infinitely scaling attack buff increases when shock triggers on your debuffed characters. A debuff dispel method is the easiest way to trivialize this fight.

This includes:

  • Echo of War trace Natasha
  • Echo of War trace March
  • Bronya
  • 3* Blessing: Abundance Resonance Formation: Anicca
  • 2* Blessing: Abundance Salvation From Damnation (preferably enhanced to be 100%, and requires a Dewdrop Blessing)
  • 1* Blessing: Preservation Construct: Rotation (20% dispel, 30% when enhanced)

For anyone who struggles with W5 and just wants to get it over with:

This requires almost all Abundance buffs. Play Sampo + Full Abundance. Yes, just stack Abundance as usual. Be sure to have Resonance Formation: Anicca, and Resonance Formation: Anatta. Sampo’s DOT burns like butter through Kafka.

If you are using March 7, switch to Physical MC.

Recommended Level: 60 (Possible at 50 most consistently with Abundance).

Example Team

  • Fire Trailblazer / March 7th
  • Natasha / Lynx
  • Dan Heng / Sushang
  • Physical Trailblazer / Sampo

Abundance

World 6

One of the safer ways to manage yourself through World 6 is to use Abundance (Anatta resonance first then Anicca) like you probably did in World 5 or to use Hunt (Bow and Arrow then Perfect Aim) to try to kill the boss before she can move a lot.

Abundance is generally more stable as long as you can break the bosses’ weakness while Hunt attempts to make the fight a lot quicker.

  • The first phase is just simply dps’ing and tanking while killing her summons with Hunt Resonance or with raw dps.
  • The second phase requires you to focus on killing the summons above anything else > Bronya > Cocolia.
  • If you are playing Abundance and have got the Anatta and Anicca blessing it is possible to ignore the summons in favor of killing Bronya earlier.
  • For the third phase you need to try to break Cocolia whenever she charges up her attack up. If it is not possible, try to tank it and heal up afterwards.

It is important to note that Cocolia should not be turtled (going full sustain and trying to outlive her) as she gains a 10% Damage Boost everytime she freezes one of your characters.

For people with Seele, use her instead of Serval. She is by far the best DPS for this fight.

Recommended Level: 60 (Possible at 50).

Example Team

  • Fire Trailblazer
  • Natasha / Lynx
  • Serval
  • Asta

Hunt or Abundance

World 7

Hunt and Remembrance are both solid ways to do this world. Hunt will utilize Bow and Arrow + Perfect Aim to kill the summons of the boss, while Remembrance will freeze all enemies and deal large damage with Dissociation 3* blessings.

Using these resonances should trivialize the difficult portion of the fight, which is managing the summons.

Hunt Strategy: do not play on auto. Get all hunt blessings. Reroll blessings if you have to.

  • Acquire Resonance Formation: Bow and Arrow
  • Acquire Resonance Formation: Perfect Aim

Remembrance Strategy: (if playing rem ignore branches and keep hitting deer). Get ALL Remembrance blessings. reroll blessings if you have to.

  • Acquire Resonance Formation: First Love Once More.
  • Acquire Resonance Formation: Rich Experience.
  • Twig of Lavish Fruits: Charges Energy for Boss to use Flamboyant Gore. Kill this plant asap.
  • Twig of Wintry Wind: Outrage Plant, This take second priority to kill after Lavish Fruits.
  • Twig of Marple Leaf: Counter Plant, This plant gives the Deer more DMG. Kill whenever possible.
  • Twig of Glorious Blooms : Healing Plant. Kill when possible. Not too high of a priority compared to other Twigs.

(See F2P Team Explaination for World 7).

Recommended Level: 60 (Possible at 50).

Example Team

  • Fire Trailblazer / March 7th
  • Natasha / Lynx
  • Asta
  • Herta / Pela / QQ

Hunt or Remembrance

World 8

The general path that will work for most teams will be Destruction by obtaining the 3* blessings.

  • Universal Heat Death Characteristic
  • Non-Inverse Antimatter Equation

The buff Fighting Spirit can be obtained that greatly increases the team’s durability. This is most helpful in the case that you are running a team that is not capable of breaking all of the swords of the boss. Failing to break a sword will cause the upcoming targetted attack to hit once more for each sword, usually killing the target.

If you can otherwise cover all 3 weaknesses of the boss, then any path will be able to comfortably fight as long as you follow its playstyle.

Regarding Yukong: Although she will help cover Imaginary Weakness, players should be aware that it is somewhat difficult to justify using her unless she is invested in and speedtuned. While available to all players, it may be simpler to try and tank the additional damage from unbroken swords than run Yukong.

Recommended Level: 60

Example Team

  • Fire Trailblazer
  • Natasha / Lynx
  • Serval / Yukong
  • Dan Heng
