Use someone that’s 90+ in Explosives IE: Barry to begin with would be best ideal for cheaper than Red, and don’t double move but single click to move around he’ll spot them and either stop or run over them a bit.

Also getting intel on sectors will reveal mines too but doesn’t seem to reveal them all. Even after detecting you need to manually navigate your mercs around them the pathfinding will not avoid even detected mines, not even for the merc detecting them!

The merc detecting it will only stop for a mine once after detecting it, after that he will happily run over it if you give the wrong movement command.

The skill used to both detect and disarm a mine is explosives, however you also want the merc disarming the mine to have Mr Fixit (Barry has it). Without it, it’s possible to fail and trigger the mine. So if you are trying to disarm one without the Mr Fixit perk, go prone, because the prone position reduces the explosion damage.
