Warframe – The Ultimate Voruna Guide (2026)

Voruna Build Guide with Tips (2026)

Voruna’s kit revolves around four wolf-themed abilities that provide passive effects, invisibility, melee buffs, Status Effects, energy and Health Orb generation, and Ulfrun’s Descent charges.

Passive

By holding an ability button, Voruna invokes one of her four wolves and gains its associated passive effect. The active passive can be swapped at any time.

Subsuming over an ability removes access to its passive.

Shroud of Dynar

Increases Parkour Velocity by 50%. This bonus is additive with mods such as Mobilize.

Fangs of Raksh

Grants complete immunity to new Status Effects. Existing Status Effects are not cleansed.

Lycath’s Hunt

Gives Voruna’s melee weapons 100% Heavy Attack Efficiency. This bonus is additive with mods such as Focus Radon.

Heavy Attack Efficiency remains hard-capped at 90%.

Ulfrun’s Descent

Prevents lethal damage once every 60 seconds, granting 3 seconds of invulnerability while restoring Voruna to full health and shields.

Shroud of Dynar

Voruna becomes invisible and gains increased Movement Speed. Invisibility ends when she performs her first attack, whether melee or ranged.

After invisibility ends, she gains the following melee buffs:

  • +100% flat Critical Chance and Status Chance, applied as 1% to 101%.
  • Forced Slash procs on melee hits.
  • Additional flat Critical Damage that scales with Ability Strength.

The forced Slash proc applies only to direct melee hits. It does not affect non-melee strikes such as Glaive explosions, Slam attacks, or other radial or projectile effects.

The melee buffs initially last 3 seconds. A successful melee kill can extend their duration, but this works only once per cast. Voruna must recast the ability after the buff expires.

Fangs of Raksh

Voruna lunges at an enemy, briefly becoming invulnerable while dealing Slash damage and applying 5 random Status Effects, each with 10 stacks.

When the target is killed, the original 5 Status Effects spread to nearby enemies. Recasting does not increase the number of transferred Status Effects.

Although only the original 5 Status Effects are transferred, their damage scales from all contributing sources, including weapons and Ulfrun’s Descent, as long as those sources apply matching Status Effect types.

Fangs of Raksh can apply:

  • Impact
  • Puncture
  • Slash
  • Cold
  • Electricity
  • Heat
  • Toxin
  • Blast
  • Corrosive
  • Gas
  • Magnetic
  • Radiation
  • Viral

Fangs of Raksh cannot apply:

  • Void
  • Tau
  • Knockdown
  • Stagger
  • Ragdoll
  • Lifted
  • Microwave

The Status Effect spread has no line-of-sight check, so every enemy within range is hit.

Lycath’s Hunt

While active:

  • Melee kills generate Health Orbs.
  • Headshots generate Energy Orbs.
  • Killing enemies afflicted with at least 5 unique Status Effects extends the buff duration, up to a maximum of 60 seconds.

Ulfrun’s Descent counts as melee kills for this purpose, except for its radial Slash attack.

Lycath’s Hunt generates Health Orbs only, which do not count for Archon Intensify.

Ulfrun’s Descent

Voruna drops onto all fours, gaining 50% Movement Speed and 5 charges.

She consumes a charge to lunge at an enemy, dealing high Slash damage with a guaranteed Slash proc. The lunge staggers the target and nearby enemies and deals radial Slash damage over time.

Ulfrun’s Descent deals doubled damage against enemies already affected by any Status Effect.

Each successful lunge kill empowers subsequent charges:

  • +200% Damage, up to +900%.
  • +5% Critical Chance, increasing from 20% to 42.5%.
  • +0.1x Critical Damage, from 1.5x to +0.95x.

Ulfrun’s Descent does not scale with melee bonuses such as Steel Charge or Arcane Fury. It also does not scale with melee Critical bonuses from Crimson or Violet Archon Shards, Arcane Avenger, or Arcane Hot Shot.

Augments

Prey of Dynar

While Shroud of Dynar is active, a random enemy within 25 meters is marked and highlighted through terrain. The marked enemy receives increased Damage Vulnerability.

Casting Fangs of Raksh on the marked target increases its Status Effect spread radius when the target dies.

The bonus spread radius is not affected by mods, but it is multiplicative with Ability Range.

The highlight color is tied to Voruna’s Energy Color, so using an easily noticeable color can make the target easier to find.

If the marked target is killed without breaking invisibility, a new target is automatically selected. This can occur through Ulfrun’s Descent or subsumed abilities such as Smite.

Ulfrun’s Endurance

Ulfrun’s Descent charges are restored when enemies die from Slash Status Effects caused by Voruna’s abilities, including Ulfrun’s Descent, Shroud of Dynar, and Helminth abilities.

This is affected by Ability Range.

Ability Stats

Ability Strength

Ability Strength improves:

  • Shroud of Dynar buffs.
  • Prey of Dynar.
  • Subsumed abilities.
  • Ulfrun’s Descent damage.

Ability Range

Ability Range increases:

  • Prey of Dynar’s nuke range.
  • Ulfrun’s Descent’s nuke range.
  • The lunge distance of Fangs of Raksh.
  • The lunge distance of Ulfrun’s Descent.

Arcanes

Molt Augmented and Arcane Impetus

Voruna reaches 13 stacks of Impetus with Fangs of Raksh, providing +78% Strength and +39% Efficiency.

Arcane Ice Storm

Arcane Ice Storm is extremely inconsistent on Voruna because of the randomness of Fangs of Raksh.

Arcane Crepuscular

Triggers from Shroud of Dynar and applies to both weapons and Ulfrun’s Descent.

Arcane Fury and Arcane Strike

Improve weapon-platform builds, particularly Slam-focused builds compared with Tennokai.

Arcane Persistence

Can be used as part of Voruna’s setup.

Subsumed Abilities

Voruna can subsume either Ulfrun’s Descent or Lycath’s Hunt.

Even with Ulfrun’s recent buffs, it remains weaker than dedicated melee setups, while energy sustain can be handled through other sources without Lycath’s Hunt. Lycath’s Hunt is typically replaced when committing to a full Ulfrun’s Descent-focused build.

Damage and Nuke Options

Roar is recommended for Dynar and Ulfrun nuking or Melee Influence builds.

Melee Platform Options

  • Xata’s Whispers
  • Shock
  • Wrathful Advance

Shock can be used with Shock Trooper to force Melee Influence on weapons with incompatible innate elements.

Wrathful Advance can be combined with Shroud of Dynar to easily reach red Critical Hits on most weapons.

Survivability Options

  • Shooting Gallery
  • Silence
  • Gloom
  • Omamori
  • Blood Altar
  • Infested Mobility

Shooting Gallery can be used with Muzzle Flash to enable Stealth Multipliers.

Silence can achieve a similar goal with Savage Silence.

Archon Shards

Possible shard choices include:

  • 1 to 2 Amber Shards for Casting Speed.
  • 1 to 4 Violet Shards for Melee Critical Damage.
  • 1 to 4 Crimson Shards for Strength.
  • 1 to 4 Emerald, Violet, or Topaz Shards for Ability Damage.

Ability Damage shards are relevant for Ulfrun-focused builds when min-maxing damage.

Emerald Archon Shards are the most consistent option, as Voruna can roll them twice through Toxin with Archon Continuity or Corrosive.

If relying on external priming from companions such as Diriga or Hounds, any of the color options can work.

General Tips

Of the Archon mods, only Archon Continuity and Archon Stretch are worth considering.

Archon Continuity grants only 1 Corrosive stack from the 10 Toxin procs applied by Fangs of Raksh.

Archon Vitality adds only 1 additional Heat stack to the 10 already applied by Fangs of Raksh.

Energy sustain is covered by Lycath’s Hunt, making Archon Stretch and Archon Flow redundant, although Archon Stretch provides free passive energy.

Archon Flow triggers only when Fangs of Raksh applies Cold Status while securing a kill.

Precision Intensify is used in weapon-platform builds that subsume Ulfrun’s Descent. Shroud of Dynar’s key buffs, its flat Status Chance and Critical Chance bonuses, do not scale with Ability Strength.

This playstyle focuses on repeatedly using Dynar and then triggering its bonuses for melee spam while avoiding heavy use of Raksh.

For Ability Duration:

  • Use Primed Continuity when using Prey of Dynar.
  • Use Narrow Minded for purely weapon-platform builds using ranged melee weapons such as Zaws, Glaives, or Slams.

Arcane Crepuscular performs well with burst melee weapons such as Slams or Zaws. Tennokai builds are more consistently out of invisibility and therefore benefit more from alternatives such as Arcane Strike.

Voruna’s invisibility makes survivability a low modding priority, but Augur mods or Brief Respite can provide backup because of how often she may spam her abilities.

Voruna’s focus on melee weapons allows her to use her Primary and Secondary slots purely for utility and priming. Possible options include Primary and Secondary Dexterity Arcanes, Secondary Sporelacer, Grimoire, Velox, Phantasma, Glaxion, and Rauta.

Recommended Weapons

Ulfrun Voruna

Recent changes from DE to how Voruna’s kit interacts with Ulfrun have made this build significantly more convenient.

The focus is to quickly build maximum Ulfrun stacks, then lunge at Dynar or Mecha targets to nuke enemies while maintaining those stacks. Only Dynar nuking recharges the stacks.

At maximum stacks, Ulfrun can also handle stronger units such as Acolytes or Thrax.

Roar Subsuming

Roar can be subsumed over Voruna’s third ability to maximize damage output.

This significantly worsens her energy economy, but it can be alleviated through:

  • Free casts from Mystic Bond or Zenurik.
  • Neutral Efficiency, using Transient Fortitude instead of Blind Rage.

The Aura slot can be used for:

  • Brief Respite for additional survivability.
  • Corrosive Projection.
  • Mecha Empowered for Mecha nuking.

If using Mecha Empowered, it pairs best with Mecha Pulse.

Other Aura options include:

  • Stretch
  • Augur Reach
  • Catalyzing Shields
  • Additional Strength mods

The Mecha set can be inconsistent or buggy. For example, marked-target kills do not always spread Status Effects.

The Exilus slot is flexible and can be used for options such as Cunning Drift, PSF, or Ice Spring.

Casting Speed and Ability Damage from Emerald, Violet, or Topaz Archon Shards remain recommended for this setup.

Voruna Zaw

Voruna’s melee buffs from Dynar allow her to run a hybrid Zaw with Melee Influence, referred to as a Zawfluence setup.

She uses a faster but weaker Zaw with Seekalla and Ekwanna II Jai on Rabvee or Dokrahm.

Using a Status part instead of Critical Chance provides better overall Melee Influence performance.

Rabvee performs better than Dokrahm only with a Riven.

Balla also works, using Peye with potential additional armor stripping from Amalgam Argonak Metal Auger.

The open slot can be used for:

  • Melee Prowess
  • Weeping Wounds
  • A Riven

Weeping Wounds requires combo upkeep through a combination of Naramon Focus, Rauta, Dexterity Arcanes, or Guardian Derision.

Roar is the best overall subsume, while Wrathful Advance is primarily a number showcase.
