Dimraeth – Elf Fireball + Chrono Spike Build Guide

Elf Fireball + Chrono Spike Build

This build uses Fireball to stack Burn on enemies, then uses Chrono Spike to instantly trigger the accumulated damage.

Core Build Mechanics

Chrono Spike advances all DoT damage on enemies it hits, causing the accumulated damage to happen instantly. It also deals extra damage for every consumed stack.

The build uses Fireball as a Burn stacking spell. Each Fireball applies 7 Burn stacks and has a 1-second cooldown, allowing you to cast it repeatedly.

The basic rotation is:

  1. Cast Fireball repeatedly to build Burn stacks.
  2. Once the maximum number of Burn stacks is reached, cast Chrono Spike.
  3. Chrono Spike instantly triggers the accumulated Burn damage and consumes the stacks.
  4. Repeat the process.

The skill tree provides around 19 maximum Burn stacks. With 3 additional stacks from the gear used for this build, the total reaches 21 Burn stacks, which equals 3 Fireball casts.

Other Spells

The remaining spells are primarily used for additional area damage and utility.

  • Poison Mist: Provides additional AoE for mob clearing.
  • Ripple: Provides additional AoE for mob clearing.
  • Aetherfang Phalanx: Deals respectable additional damage.

Using Other Elemental Skills

If you use elemental skills other than Fire skills, cast Fireball first.

The Pyre Echo skill tree perk gives bonus Magic Damage equal to the number of Burn stacks on the enemy for 5 seconds whenever you apply Burn.

Ashen Escalation

Ashen Escalation provides 20% extra Burn damage for 8 seconds per Burn stack consumed by your spells.

Concentration

On the left side of the skill tree, the build takes +Concentration on attacks, providing an additional 11 Concentration with every left click on an enemy.

Concentration Flasks can be useful against bosses when there is no opening to attack them. The build typically uses between 0 and 2 Flasks on bosses for a faster clear, so the skill tree can cover the build’s Concentration needs.

Gear

The gear setup is still being developed. The goal is to complete a Pyreweaver set, which provides 15% increased damage against burning enemies at 6 pieces.

The current setup consists of:

  • 4-piece Enflamed: Casting a Fire skill causes a mortar shot to target a random enemy. Its damage is relatively low, so it is not a major part of the build.
  • 3-piece Pyreweaver: Currently used while working toward the 6-piece Pyreweaver bonus.
