Dungeonborne – Druid Critical Tree Strike Build

Quick Guide to Druid Critical Tree Strike Build

By Feiht.

Actually, some are thinking the tree cannot crit if you do not hit a weak spot, but it will always critically strike at 100% crit chance. I don’t know why, but I tested it in the training room with one tree on the same target by making: no critical on the first tree hit, then gearing up to 100% critical strike chance, then… worth it! The tree now always lands a critical hit!

Basically, with leather armor, you have free crit damage (+40-60%). It’s your free damage with the 100% cap! So we will need: Some crit damage / crit chance stacks (you can have 160-170% critical damage on full purple with 100% crit). You will need a good staff too; I recommend a 150 weapon damage purple lightning staff with critical strike/damage affixes or all elemental damages / damages.

If you have SOME money, the Stormcaller staff can be a good one with 156 weapon damage and +4 all attributes (I think that’s the druid BIS because with this one you can easily take an orb in the other slot with a dagger / mace to increase crit damage or your survivability – hello % max life). No need for double staff = More % hp = more survivability.

When you crouch, you gain stealth and +50% crit damage (190-200% crit damage without affixes when crouched, more if you take crit damage affixes). The tree can be summoned without breaking stealth, so the plan is: summon tree => tree slaps (350+ damage depending on gear) => thunder flask => staff x2 => tree => pounce (200+ damage depending on elemental and weapon damage; it cannot critically hit). If all are done correctly, it’s dead. That’s all.

For Stats: INT/WILL/DEX. Stam not needed; better to take % max life affixes or life affixes.

For Sets: The ones you want. I think with all these burst damages druid has, you can just play the ones you think are good for your gameplay, but it seems Tangling Chain is a good one.
