Best start with a creative world to learn how things work.
“Pipe radiator” (the one that wraps around the pipe) needs to be exposed to the elements on all sides in order to work at all.
Despite what the wiki says, passive vents will NOT release all gas at least when in connected to a room (from experience) so greenhouse external radatior systems for example will continue to have gas in them..why is that important?
Post Thermodynamics Update, pipes will continue to release heat until it matches external world temp. Which for the moon, means never stops.
In creative you want to spawn an ‘authoring tool’ and an RTG for infinite power.
Item names are not always the same in the creative mode spawning UI.
A portable tank on an uninsulated connector does not loose temperature. A portable tank unconnected does. I think this is a bug, I think the unisulated connector likely should.
