There are a total of 144 Cigarette Cards (12 sets) in Red Dead Redemption 2. You only need to complete one set of them however for 100% completion, and this video guide goes over the locations of one complete set.

None of these Cigarette Cards are missable and you can collect them at any point in the story and after it.

Although the Cigarette Cards will be on the map as soon as you start the game, you need to get the “Cigarettes and Other Hobbies” strange mission in order for one card in the set to spawn, so make sure you pick that mission up. Having the mission will also allow you to send cards to the Phineas and gets rewards back.

The set included in this guide is the Prominent American set which is one of the easier ones to collect as they are grouped together on the map.
