USI Guide to Tier 4 Base with Helpful Tips
This base is unlocked by clearing Sector 54. Your primary focus early on is mats income for the first 4 slots, then you can start working on parts income for some slots.
Some Notes:
- Do NOT level up parts too much, since the drain is very big early on.
- In any setup that contains parts, you can replace parts with components.
- For AFK setups, use the parts-focused setup of your choice, then replace one of the parts with a component.
More mats income after unlocking both of the 2e7 mats slots.
Early half mats & parts setup.
The next 3 setups have both of the 2e9 mats slots unlocked. There’s a mats-focused one, a parts-focused one, and a half-mats-and-parts one.
Reminder: you can replace one of the parts with a component to turn the setup below into an AFK setup.
However, since the drain is pretty big this early on, AFK setups might not be viable yet.
The next 3 setups have both of the 5e9 parts slots unlocked. You can start levelling up parts a little bit.
As usual, there’s a mats-focused setup, a parts-focused setup, and a half-mats-and-parts one.

All the setups below will assume you have all slots unlocked. The better parts/components setups shortly after unlocking all slots will require using 4 drain reducers to maximize drain reduction.
Eventually, you can use 2 drain reducers without having negative income.
Components-Focused Setup:
It maximizes drain reduction while maximizing components income. The component can be replaced with a part, and if you do, you can replace the part in the bottom-right (and the 3 drain reducers affecting it) with mats and boosters.
AFK Setup:
If you are far enough in the game, then the 3 setups below will be sustainable, despite using 2 drain reducers.
